As we all know, to make money off eBay, you need something to sell, hence the name of this post: Product Sourcing For eBay.

What is Product Sourcing and how can it help us make money on eBay?

Product Sourcing… simply: Getting the stuff to sell on eBay in the first place. You source the product from somewhere.

Now there are many ways source products for ebay, and it depends on the business model you choose.

First, the most obvious one would be simply to sell your own stuff. But, that’s pretty much self explanatory.

What other ways are there then, to source products for eBay? Or any other auction site for that matter.

Well, finding a supplier!

Simple.

I’m going to give you a website where you can do this too, in a minute.

After you’ve found your supplier to source your products from, you can either order the products to your house and then ship it out yourself, like a wholesaler.

Or, you could turn your supplier into a dropshipper, where you simply get a deal with your supplier that, after you’ve listed and sold your products on eBay, you send them your customer’s shipping adress and name so THEY ship the item directly to the customer, and you just have to pay the supplier a bit more for doing this.

Yes, that’s one way to do product sourcing for eBay. There are more ways, but I don’t feel like writing, and that would be the end of this article.

OK, so I’m about to tell you something about the site, Squidoo… which you really should be taking advantage of by now, for crazy rankings, etc.

Well anyway, Squidoo is a great way to pass link juice to whatever site you’re promoting, but the thing is, you have to make the lens go green first.

Green?

Well, when you’ve first created a lens you see a little gray thingy next to it, that means that Squidoo still considers the lens a work-in-process kind of thing, as in an incomplete lens. You have to make that go green, and then they’ll happily put it in the listings and stuff like that.

First I thought that this didn’t matter too much, because Google could in no way notice any difference, right?

Wrong.

You know why?

After it’s gone green… all of the links become do-follow links. When the lens is in gray-mode they are no-follow.

Just think about that.

I actually wrote this for an article for my article marketing stuff, but I figured it’d be a good read for you guys too. I didn’t wanna get hit by the duplicate content filter, so I used the EverProfits Toolbar content rewriter to do the job. So, sorry about any weird words.

So if you are not producing any money online, the first thing you have to do is identify the reason why.

WHY are you not making any money?
WHY aren’t the paychecks flooding your mailbox yet?

Well, I’ll say to you the most usual reason right now:

<strong>Lack of persistence.</strong>

So most people jump into the first opportunity they find, tries to “do it” half-assedly like once, probably in rare cases, twice.

Remember that Thomas Alva Edison failed over 7000 times before succeeding to make the first lightbulb, the same kind that’s in practically every house nowadays.

His persistence and determination changed the world.

If you have even half of his will-power, you’ll forever change YOUR world.

Don’t, like most people, try something… “Crap, this doesn’t work” and move to the next method or opportunity, and expect better consequences on the FIRST try. That’s just madness, thinking you’ll be rich on your first attempt.

Would you like to fail several times with one method to finally succeed, or ought to you rather fail yet or twice with tens or even hundreds of methods and never succeed?

Success requires Focus, Persistence and Patience. You can’t expect to get rich over night, that’s just a pipedream.

It does not matter all that much with what you try to succeed WITH, as long as you’re persistence. Of course, don’t take me too literally, you probably won’t become a millionaire by bringing about free “e-sandwiches” (yeah I just made that up, feel free to steal the idea) for people. Well, actually, if your site becomes very popular and becomes a large community of people sending e-sandwiches to their friends and family… people will want to advertise on your site. The more popular your sandwich site gets, the more the advertisers could be willing to pay.

Get the idea? You could literally construct money online by doing anything. Most methods do work, they just require select helpful guidelines (or recently even more time without the guidelines, you know, trial & error) and a lot of persistence… and you will succeed.

Actually, I just read about a guy on the DigitalPoint forums that’s averaging $30,000 a month from CJ (affiliate network). And get this: the guy has never read an e-book.

Here are some more methods people have succeeded with:

*Pay Per Click marketing
*Bum Marketing
*Article Marketing
*Link Exchanges
*Offline Promotion
*Ezine Advertising
*Ezine Publishing
*Affiliate Marketing
*Blogging
*PLR Re-selling
*Selling your own products
*JV Partners

Now those are just some of them. There’s several other methods to make money online, and you can be successful with any of them.

If you follow some general clickbank book for example, you can expect general success. Sure, a lot of methods work, but different things work for different people. The methods we come up with ourselves usually work best. Take Bill Gates for example. He started doing WHAT HE KNEW and helped fix the neighbors’ computers, for a small fee of course. And this… grew into a company that’s today known as Microsoft.

He had his unique method. He used what he already knew, and flipped that around and made a profit. At that time I’m sure there were other people with the same knowledge of computers as he had, but they didn’t do anything to capitalize off that. They didn’t take “action”.

2009 update… the dude isn’t really that awesome. Last time I checked he was an idiot. Blocked me on msn because of my age, real mature right? He’s just a bodybuilder dude who thinks he’s better than everyone else :)

A guy over at the Digital Point Forums, namely “Supper” is now my friggen role model, or something. I hope that makes you happy Supper, as you’re probably reading this.

The dude has been pumping out like 30 articles a day for months now, which is just insane… but profitable. He’s got $500- something in his clickbank account right now. He made me realize something, which sure, I knew this, but I hadn’t really internalised it… The more work you do, the more you get as a result… If you don’t take ACTION, you will get no results, or no money in our industry.

While I have tried to educate myself and have been trying to know as much as possible, I’ve kind of gotten caught up in that and I haven’t taken a whole lot of action. Sure, I get a sale here and there, but almost entirely from my other blog, Lemonarian Life.

Sure, I now know a whole lot more than the average individual about making money online, but that will make me no money.

So anyone who’s reading this, I hope this has motivated you to start taking more action, whatever you do.
