Does PLR/Resell Rights make any sense?
If you’ve been into the internet marketing scene for any period of time, you should be aware of the concept of Reselling Rights. If not, that’s basically that, if you buy a product you’re allowed to sell it to other people. More often than not, these resell rights will run you about double the cost of the initial investment in the product itself.
If you buy a product, does it even make sense to have to PAY to sell it to someone else. If you think about it, the very concept probably just started as an idea for making more money from your products.
Now, internet marketing, by definition, is pretty much the same as regular good ol’ offline marketing, except it’s on the internet instead. Makes sense, right?
Now, if you buy a product in the “real world”, like in a brick and mortar type store, do you have to pay extra to even be allowed to sell it to someone else if you don’t need it anymore?
If you buy a product in a real world store, nothing is to stop you from selling it on eBay.
And no, I don’t really have a clue about any of this, these are just some of my personal thoughts on the subject. I could be dead wrong, but considering the amount of crap people sell on ebay and other auctions, I’d say it’s an educated guess.
I do agree that the concept of resell rights is a very intelligent one, and it works wonderfully for the people producing the actual product in the first place. They could potentially double their profits just by adding a few lines on their site and in their eBook or whatever they’ve got.
It’s an extremely smart idea, but really, does it make sense?
Do you agree? Does it make any sense to charge people to be allowed to “sell it forward”?
