The email, name withheld for obvious reasons


Before you comment, yes it was completely unscripted. That’s how I roll…
And, to the person who sent me the email – this is not an attack on you or anything like that. I am truly sorry I have offended you, and this post and video is nothing personal.

Anyway, in addition to what I said in the video, a few things:

Most of the non-constructive criticism I get is accusing me of being childish and that I need to grow up… be more professional… etc.

First of all, I am still by law considered a child… what do you want from me?

Second of all… this used to bother me. I considered my age a disadvantage.

Now… I have realized that nearly all of these comments have nothing to do with my age. Not at the core of it, anyway…

… but people are pointing out my age simply because they can.

Which brought me to the realization that… no matter if I’m 6 or 60 – there will ALWAYS be something to point out. Something to criticize.

So… if “what other people are going to think” is holding you back from getting started… you’re screwed :)

    Hey Linus , I just wanted to give you a heads up and thanks for the many things I’ve learned from you.

    There will be always haters. I’m pretty sure the vast majority of your subscribers likes you other wise why would they want to be on your list.

    For a comment like the one you received on the email I can only say that that person Its just jealous of your success.

    In my opinion that person is even more childish “than you” as he says buy making a reply of that king. A decent person wouldn’t do that types of things and would just unsubscribe and go another place.

    I guess once you come popular you will get more people pointing fingers at you because they can’t make something for them selves…

    Yes, definitely… thanks for your comment.

    I agree with you 100% … and I guess what I was trying to say is … you can’t tell people that. Or at least, it serves no purpose whatsoever, other than making more enemies and spreading more negativity. The best you can do is just apologize. I’m not christian or anything, but this reminds me of something Jesus said: “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
