The Crucial Flaw in Bum Marketing

Bum Marketing… insanely popular… yet there is one thing… a flaw in the system that pretty much makes it all worthless.
Bum Marketing – the name derives from the idea that you could take a complete bum off the streets, put him in a public library, and have him make money. Right?
Right. And therein lies the problem.
The freaking companies wouldn’t have any place to send the checks to! He’s a bum! He doesn’t have a home!!
OK, fine, it would work if he has a bank account and does the direct deposit thing, or he’s in a paypal affiliate program/network such as myHelpHub – but still.
Just thought that was kind of funny, lol sorry.
The ACTUAL flaw in standard bum marketing is that you don’t have much control.
Unless you have your landing page on your own domain you don’t have any control over it and you can’t make the layout look EXACTLY like you want it on something like blogger or squidoo.
Eventually you want to get more serious with your own domains and stuff like that anyway, so why not start immediately and make more money in the long run.
I’m pretty much leaving traditional bum marketing as it is now, and moving on to something else that is a lot more powerful and completely hands off once it’s done. It’s a niche domination type of thing…

That’s why you should only USE those “fucking web two point oh” websites, but not 100% rely on them.

You absolutely need to keep your long tern future in mind.
My two Key points are think long term and focus hard!
All newbies must think long term, not just about the first 10 or so sales, where do you want to be in a year? etc,
HAHA yeah good point! I do not know how an actual bum could do it, I wonder if there are any real life stories of a bum managing to make it online with only 15 mins (only get 15 mins a day on a computer in library’s near me) a day on a library computer…

You’ve right, David, most people who want to start an online business are thinking short term and they are giving up quickly. Internet marketing is a job as any other job in real life and you must to hard work and the results will appear after few months, or even years, depending of your goals.
